  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • Why do FAQs matter?
    FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience.
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • Do I need to get pre-approved for a loan before I go shopping for a property?
    Yes! You do need to speak with a lender that you trust, provide basic information and obtain a 'pre-qualification' or 'pre-approval' letter before you go shopping. This letter will include the amount of money that you are able to spend on a property and how much you must put down. The total of those two figures represents the amount you can spend on a home. Then you can shop in that price range. That letter will be used when you put in an offer to let the seller know that you are already approved or qualified to buy. The letter is submitted with your offer. You cannot submit an offer without it.
  • If I am paying cash for a property, can I just start shopping for a home?
    The answer is NO. You must provide a copy of your "Proof of Funds" first. This is a copy of your bank records or investment records that prove that you have enough funds to pay cash for the home. It must be sufficient enough to cover the cost of the house you are shopping for. You cannot look at houses that exceed the price of the house that you intend to pay cash for, unless you intend to get a loan. (See the Q & A about getting a pre-approval letter for loans).
  • Can I get a loan on a house that is a total fixer?
    Generally NO. Most lenders will not lend on a house that needs a lot of work or is not livable. Some "hard money" lenders will make an exception to this if the numbers work out. So you will likely need to be prepared to pay cash for a "total fixer".
  • Can I get a loan on a property that is on leased land?
    Generally, YES. However, you MUST work with a local Palm Springs area lender that is authorized to lend on leased land. Most lender's will "tell" you they will loan on leased land, when in reality they will not. So your best option is to use a local lender from the start of the transaction.
  • Can I do a vacation rental on my purchase?
    Generally, YES. However, the minimum number of nights you MUST rent your property can vary by city. So check with your local Realtor to determine this information. This is very important information to investigate.
  • How can I tell if my purchase is in a flood or fire zone?
    Ask your agent to check the FEMA map online to see if your purchase is located in a flood zone, and also check the NHD (Natural Hazard Report) on the property for information related to these issues.
  • When should I start shopping for homeowners insurance?
    The day that you put in the offer on the property, you should start shopping for insurance. It can sometimes take weeks to get an approval or even a quote from many California carriers.
  • Do I really need a home inspection?
    Yes! You should never "waive" the home inspection or even remove the contingency. If you feel you are forced to remove the contingency just to get the house due to aggressive bidding, you should still do a home inspection anyway so you know what you are purchasing.
  • Should I get a termite inspection?
    A termite inspection is not required, but recommended.
  • Should I get a pool and/or roof inspection?
    Generally the more independent inspections you obtain, the better.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
